How to Play

At Impact Axe, we have 13 lanes for you and your friends to enjoy throwing axes. New to the sport? Think darts, but with axes in batting cages style lanes, similar to what you'd use for baseball practice!

We recommend booking an appointment online to ensure you and your party have the lanes you need. Each lane accommodates up to 5 guests. If you have a larger party, we suggest booking ahead, so your party has lanes together. Still, walk-ins are accepted if we have the space available. Should you choose to walk-in and we don't have open space, we will add you to a first-come, first-serve waiting list if our schedule permits.

Arrival

When you arrive, check-in at the front desk so we know you have shown up for your appointment. Everyone in your party, throwing or not, must fill out a liability waiver. You can fill it out before you arrive or on your smartphone on our website. We will be checking to ensure all throwers are wearing closed-toed shoes, or you will be unable to throw.

When your bay is clean and ready, we will escort you to your table, where we will teach you how to safely and adequately throw an axe. You can find the Impact Axe safety Rules and Regulations posted at each bay. You will not be allowed to throw until a coach clears you to.

Games and Scoring

Each lane will have chalk and a chalkboard that will allow your group to keep score if you choose to play games. You decide if you want to throw for fun or play to compete!

Safety First

Safe fun is the best fun in our book, so we have taken precautions to ensure everyone's safety. You'll find lines on the ground that indicate where to throw and where not to go if it's not your turn.

We will educate you on where to throw, where it is safe as a spectator or waiting for your turn, and how to throw an axe safely. The primary safety rules are; one thrower at a time, throw one axe at a time, and axes are only allowed in the designated throwing area.

The axes stay in a designated bucket unless someone is up to throw. It is always returned to the bucket between turns and never handed off to the next player.

Hang Out & Have Fun

Each bay has a table that your party will be for the duration of your party. You can grab some food and a beer to make the most of your experience!
